Senior Interior Designer (FF&E Focus)

We are working with a wonderful interior design studio in New York that is looking to bring on a Senior Interior Designer with a strong FF&E focus. This is genuinely one of my favourite studios to work with – the team is thoughtful, hardworking, and incredibly respectful of one another, which makes for a really positive and collaborative studio culture.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a small team of designers, while remaining hands-on with the design process. The studio produces beautiful, highly custom work and values designers who take ownership of their projects from concept through installation.
There is also opportunity for travel depending on the project.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the FF&E design process from concept through procurement and installation

Develop custom furniture, lighting, and millwork designs

Manage the sourcing, specification, and procurement of FF&E packages

Maintain strong relationships with domestic and European vendors

Oversee and mentor junior and intermediate designers

Work directly with clients and present design concepts

Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables

Collaborate closely with the wider design team on technical drawing sets and documentation
Requirements

8–10 years of professional experience post-graduation within an interior design studio

Strong experience in FF&E design, sourcing, and procurement

Excellent knowledge of European and international vendors preferred

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Experience using Studio Designer for procurement and project management

Proven experience delivering highly custom interiors

Confident client-facing and presentation skills

Strong technical understanding and hands-on approach to design
