Rhythm Careers is recruiting on behalf of a 15-person architectural and interiors studio based in Blackrock. The practice has an established reputation across hospitality, residential, commercial and leisure projects, with a consistent body of work and a strong focus on delivering well-considered, technically sound design.
They are now looking to appoint a Senior Architect who can take ownership of projects and lead them, from early design stages through to completion on site.
This is a hands-on senior position within a close-knit team. You will be responsible for leading projects from concept through planning, tender and construction, ensuring information is well coordinated and delivered to a high standard. Acting as the main point of contact for clients and consultant teams, you will manage relationships, chair meetings where required and keep projects moving at the right pace. A large part of the role will involve overseeing technical detailing, reviewing drawing packages and making sure all work complies with Irish Building Regulations, Planning Policy and BC(A)R requirements. Given the size of the studio, you will also play an active part internally, supporting colleagues and contributing to the overall quality of output across the practice.
You will be a Part 3 qualified Architect, registered with the RIAI, with around eight or more years’ experience in practice. You should be comfortable taking the lead on projects independently and have a solid track record of seeing schemes through the construction stage. A strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations, planning procedures and BC(A)R is essential, alongside confidence working within a BIM environment. Just as important is your approach: you will need to be clear and professional in client-facing situations, practical in resolving technical challenges, and capable of translating good design ideas into buildable solutions.
Experience in hospitality, residential, commercial, sport or leisure projects would be advantageous, particularly if you have been closely involved on site during construction.
